Horizon Bank Donates to Stepping Stone Shelter for Women

Horizon-Bank-Donates-to-Stepping-Stone-Shelter-for-WomenHorizon Bank is pleased to announce its recent donation to the Stepping Stone Shelter for Women. The donation, in the amount of $7,500, was presented by Jim Neff, President, with Sharon Wright to Kay Hill, Executive Director on January 22, 2019.

Hill detailed that the donation will be allocated to Stepping Stone’s emergency shelter. “We are very thankful for the funds, which will offset the cost of utilities for the agency,” she said, noting that the recent extreme cold experienced here will result in higher gas costs. “We’re also seeing an increase in our number of clients. So, with this increase we are using more heating, water, and other utilities in order to provide quality service for them.”

“Horizon is happy to provide financial assistance for the Stepping Stone Shelter, to help with operational costs,” said Neff. “This organization is an invaluable resource in supporting women and children in our community. Their assistance helps save and improve lives every day.”
