Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso’s The Unfair brings community everything it missed out on in 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty to the world and our community, forcing us to give up beloved events such as, fairs, festivals, and other special occasions that we look forward to every year. In response to everything 2020 has thrown our way, Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso and Wheels Unlimited is bringing the community The Un-Fair, a three-day long event full of fair favorites we missed out on during this crazy year.

Located off of US Route 30 in Valparaiso, Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso has worked tirelessly this year to support its community. In May, the dealership partnered with local pizza places for to host a giant pizza giveaway for community members. A few weeks later, they hosted a second pizza giveaway, going above and beyond to bring a little joy despite the hardships that social distancing and quarantine have brought.

Harley-Davidson is continuing its commitment to Northwest Indiana. The Region’s annual county fairs and local festivals were canceled this summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it hasn’t felt like a true Northwest Indiana summer without eating some delicious fried foods and ice-cold drinks on a hot day. So, the dealership saw the opportunity to do their own version of the beloved summer pastime, bringing the community The Un-Fair. Did you ever think you would eat fair food at a local motorcycle dealership? We didn’t either, but this year has been weird, so why not make it just a little bit weirder.

September 10 through 12 from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., you can enjoy a day of social-distanced fun with local vendors serving the signature fair delights everyone missed this year. Get your fill of the fair experience with delicious elephant ears, corn dogs, cotton candy, and fried foods galore. This is the perfect chance to get out of the house, eat some good comfort food, and enjoy the end of the summer with family and friends!

A used vehicle tent event will also be in the car lot, showcasing motorcycles for everyone to check out. Social distancing rules will be enforced during The Un-Fair, including masks and staying six feet apart from people at all times.
