Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso supports biker community during pandemic

Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso is doing its part to follow Governor Holcomb's order and is following all of the guidelines set. The number one priority of keeping our employees and customers safe and healthy during this trying time remains.

Make the most out of social distancing with your Harley-Davidson. Whether you finally give it that tune-up you’ve been meaning to, give it all the works for a nice shine, or even rev it up and take it out for a spin, the family at Harley is here to provide you with what you need.

Curbside parts and service at the Valparaiso location will remain open under a temporary schedule to help you keep your knees in the breeze. In addition, the in-store vehicle showroom will remain open for bike sales allowing no more than three customers within the store at a time.

Walking into Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso can feel similar to walking into a family member’s living room for many. The community that surrounds the brand, including its staff, are working to uphold this feeling under the given circumstances.

“The Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso team is dedicated to adjusting as needed in order to best serve the riders of the Region during this uncertain and difficult time,” said Jeff Haggerty, General Manager at Harley-Davidson of Michigan City and Valparaiso. “The biker community has always stuck together to provide support to each other and its surrounding community, and the goal during the current pandemic is just the same.”

Look ahead to brighter, warmer riding days and be put at ease knowing the Harley family is here for you.

“The Harley-Davidson customer base is very supportive of each other. If there’s a fellow rider in need, they really seem to rally behind them and take care of their own. It’s like a big family,” Haggerty said. “As a team, we work to do the same for them –especially now working to keep the store clean and carry out extra sanitary procedures to make sure everyone is safe and receive what they need from us.”

Another way to keep busy and connected is to head over to Harley-Davidson’s Instagram (@harleydavidson) and check out the 2020 Bike Bracket, similar to March Madness brackets. The bracket can be found in the page’s story section. While you’re there, give your local store a follow at @hdofvalpo.

Temporary schedule will be as follows:

Service: Open

Parts through service & curbside parts pickup: Open

Vehicle Showroom: Open for bike sales only, no more than three customers at a time

Saturday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday: Closed

Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso is committed to continuing to keep all high traffic areas clean and asks that all customers adhere to the CDC’s recommendations on social distancing. In addition, staff members are happy to arrange a purchase of anything customers may need and bring it right to his or her car parked outside the store. Everyone’s patience and loyalty are extremely appreciated.

We’re in this together!
