Happy Earth! Kidstop Celebrates Earth Day

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County Kidstop members celebrated Earth Day 2010 in a big way. happy-earthEach of the eight school sites competed against each other to see which site could come up with the best recycle project using recycled materials. Members made a variety of craft projects including soda can pencil holders, picture frames, egg carton bugs, and recycle stations to use at home.

The Earth Day event made all of the children really think about the earth and how they can reuse, reduce, and recycle.

Kidstop is a fun child care alternative, supervised by trained staff where children are given the opportunity to participate in creative play, recreational and gym activities, as well as working on age appropriate learning activities, homework help, and arts and crafts.
