At the Gymnastics State meet this Saturday, Danielle Solis brought home a 3rd place medal on vault, and came in 12th on floor. Mackenzie Barcelli brought home a 5th place medal on vault, and came in 11th on bars, 7th on beam, and 8th all-around.
Boys Track competed at the Indoor State Finals at Purdue Saturday and came a away with a Top-10 team finish.
Earning All-State Honors and medals for the Indians were: the 4x200 meter relay team of Alvin Best, Othie Freeny, Detrek Suggs & Jeron Blake finishing in 3rd place. Joey Little in the Shot Put with his 6th place finish and, the 4x400 meter relay team of Alex Becker, Othie Freeny, Alvin Best & Jeron Blake with their 8th place finish.
Jeron Blake narrowly missed finals and all-state with his 9th place in 55 meter dash Jake Dixon was 11th in Long Jump
Congrats to Tori Bliss and Kristy Evans who successfully competed at the indoor state finals Saturday @ Purdue. Tori successfully defended her shop put Championship with a winning throw of 4 feet 3 ½ inches more than four feet farther than 2nd place. Kristy finished in the top 50 in both the 55 dash and long jump. Way to represent Portage ladies!
