Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr., City of Hammond officials and Park Development Partners representatives will break ground on a new building at 24 Marble Street, Hammond IN 46327
Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the City of Hammond Office of Economic Development are pleased to announce a ground-breaking ceremony with Park 24 Marble Street Development on its $35 million 400,000 square foot new investment. “The City is excited to partner with the 24 Marble Street group on a 400,000 square foot turnkey commercial building in Hammond. The demand for this type of development is high and will give any business that locates there a competitive advantage.” said Mayor McDermott. “Our economic development team fields calls often for businesses looking to relocate in Hammond and now we can direct them to space that is immediately available.”
Jeff Smoke of Great Lakes Capital stated, “Great Lakes Capital and Kelly Construction are appreciative of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and the City of Hammond incentives that have made the development and remediation of this brownfield site possible. A 400,000 square foot high bay warehouse is in high demand and will provide Hammond with the opportunity to attract new jobs and investment.”
Park 24 Marble St. Development’s $35 million building is anticipating a fall/winter 2024 grand opening.
The ground-breaking will take place on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 11:00am at 24 Marble St., Hammond, IN. The public is invited.
