Give Day to Benefit NorthShore Health Centers

NWIGivesIn 1997, Jan Wilson, CEO, founded NorthShore Health Centers in order to provide affordable quality healthcare to the uninsured and underinsured community of Northwest Indiana. Jan was the school nurse at Portage High School and noticed many parents unable to tend to their sick children because they could not afford to take time off of work. Driven by Jan’s empathy for these families, NorthShore’s first location was established as a 501c3 teen clinic inside of Portage High School. With the growing need for medical and dental care in the Northwest Indiana community, NorthShore has now grown to five medical centers and four dental centers located in Portage, Lake Station, Merrillville and recently Hammond.

NorthShore Health Centers is participating in NWIGives on February 12th. The goal of the give day is for all local non-profits to come together and promote an online giving/donation day which will help each individual organization's cause.

We are asking for the community's help! Your donation will help provide healthcare to those who otherwise would not be able to have their needs met due to lack of insurance.
