Come on out runners to experience a 12K run that you will never forget. The Memorial Day TRAIL RUN XTREME 12K is set for Monday, May 30th at Portage’s Imagination Glen Park East, 149 North, Outback Trail.
The XTREME 12K starts at 8 am on an extremely, rugged trail course traversing hills, log jumps, thigh-high creek crossings, mud and switchbacks over single-track mountain bike trails. Runners will undoubtedly get wet and muddy!
Cost for the 12K is $50 for online or mail-in registered runners. Race day cost is $60. All mail-in registrations must be postmarked before May 20th. All racers will receive a memento of the race. Advance packets pick up will be at Extra Mile Fitness, 1330 East Lincolnway in Valparaiso on May 22nd from noon to 5 pm. Race day pick up will start at 6 am.
Awards will be presented, and post-race snacks and drinks will be available. This is a Calumet Striders, Gold Cup, XYZ Series Race. Most of the proceeds for the race go to Gabriel’s Horn Homeless Shelter with the remainder going to the Portage Outback Trail Commission.
