Hello Willowcreek Family. This is Ms Stewart and here is the Friday Focus message for this week. willowcreek-middle-school-sign1There are 5 items of interest to follow. If you miss any part of this message, please visit the Willowcreek website where it will be printed in its entirety.

1. Willowcreek will be hosting its first ever blood drive. We have teamed with the American Red Cross and will host this event in our cafeteria on Monday, May 10th. Your child should have brought home a pledge card inviting you to come and give blood. You can make an appointment, but you can also just show up from 3 – 7. Donors must be 16 years of age and weigh at least 110 pounds. Any Willowcreek student who is responsible for a person donating blood will receive a Red Cross cinch sack backpack. Did you know that one liter of blood can be used to save 3 lives? Come and help save lives with your donation.

2. More fun from the ‘Creek! McDonald’s on Central Avenue is hosting a “McTeacher’s” Night. On Thursday, May 6 from 4:00 to 8:00, Willowcreek teachers will be working at McDonald’s! Come see and have some great McDonald’s food cooked and served by Mr. Wheeler, Mrs. Alaniz, Mrs. Henry, Mr. Dudek, Mr. Horn, Mrs. Scheuer, Mrs. Danskin, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Hart, Mr. Misecko, Mrs. Vaughan, Mrs. Littke, Mrs. Haupt and me, Mrs. Stewart. If you can’t stop in, at least drive through and see which staff member is working the drive-up! McDonald’s is donating 15% of the night’s sales to our schools. Come and join the fun.

3. Time has run out! Today is the last day to pre-purchase a yearbook for your student. You may order online at jostensyearbooks.com or call 1-866-282-1516. There will be a very limited amount of extras for sale at the end of the year.
