Portage TOWNSHIP Department of Parks and Recreation is hosting a Free Kid’s Fishing Workshop in September. Sponsored by the Porter County Conservation Club, kids will learn the basics of fishing including; choosing the right lure and bait, tying knots, and casting. Kids will meet two consecutive Saturdays at Field of Dreams Park (402 W. 700 N., Valparaiso, IN 46385), and then put their new skills to the test on Sunday, September 23rd at the Porter County Conservation Club for a day of fishing fun! Materials and equipment provided.

Saturday, September 15th: at Field of Dreams Park
Kids 5-10yrs old, 9a-noon
Kids 11-15yrs old, 1-4p
Saturday, September 22nd: at Field of Dreams Park
Kids 5-10yrs old, 9a-noon

Sunday, September 23rd: Porter County Conservation Club (Rt. 130 & Froberg Rd, Valparaiso, IN)
All ages
One Day Fishing Trip 7a-2p. Lunch and transportation provided.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED by Friday, September 7th at noon at the Portage Township Trustee’s Office 3484 Airport Road, Portage Indiana 46368.
