Franciscan Health to honor physicians on National Doctors’ Day

Franciscan Health joins the nation in honoring the physicians who have worked during the COVID-19 pandemic to treat those with the virus, while continuing to provide necessary care in a safe manner.

National Doctors’ Day will be celebrated on March 30, recognizing the contributions of physicians to individual lives and communities. Franciscan Health hospital campuses in Crown Point, Dyer, Hammond, Michigan City and Munster will each celebrate the day with their staff.

Franciscan’s physicians have adapted to these unprecedented times by finding innovative ways to continue to provide care, including virtual visits and remote monitoring to help COVID patients recover at home. Members of the community can support these efforts by donating to the Franciscan Health Foundation’s Preparedness and Response Fund at franciscanhealthfoundation.org/COVID-19. Donations will go toward supplies and equipment that will protect staff and patients.
