The Porter County Community Foundation awarded a 2013 Community Fund grant to NorthShore Health Centers to purchase a testing monitor for at-risk pregnant women. The equipment will allow the medical staff to offer non-stress test assessments at the Portage NorthShore Health Center. This onsite testing will provide a more convenient and comfortable experience for women who use the facility while helping to better maintain the continuity of care for at-risk pregnancies.
The Foundation strengthens the work of nonprofits through grants and programs designed to help them do their work better. In 2012, the Foundation was able to provide more than $1.8 million in grants, investing in critical services for individuals and families throughout Porter County.
