Portage Township Trustee, Brendan Clancy, would like to make all residents aware of the extreme heat and poor air quality that is forecast for our area by the National Weather Service.
During this time, please be advised to stay indoors out of this heat. Please be mindful of your neighbors, especially the elderly and disabled and make sure you check on them frequently and they stay hydrated at this time.
All 3 Portage Fire Stations and South Haven Fire Department will serve as cooling centers for those residents that need a cool place to stay.
