Experts Offer Insights on Exporting Opportunities

nwi-sbdcExporting experts will offer their insights at Exporting 101 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday April 24 at Portage University Center, 6260 Central Ave.

The workshop will focus on export procedures and organization, international logistics, managing payment risk and financing the sale, Small Business Administration export programs and resources and building an overseas infrastructure.

Featured experts include: Mark Cooper, U.S. Department of Commerce; Andrew Reinke, Foreign Targets Inc.; and Eric Armacost and John O’Gara, both of the SBA as well as a panel of local exporters.

Serving seven counties in the region, the NW-ISBDC offers no-cost assistance for entrepreneurs starting or expanding their businesses. Through one-on-one consulting, the NW-ISBDC helps guide small businesses toward their goals by offering referrals, workshops, training opportunities and other essential business tools. It is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Small Business Administration, the State of Indiana and other local partners.
