Attracting builders like Crusader Homes, Sublime Homes, O’Connor Builders, Inc., Steiner Homes, and Faganel Builders The Brooks at Vale Park is a development which will result in 245 new homes in Valparaiso with scenic landscapes.
“You get this great topography; you’ve got the rolling hills, you’ve got the creeks, you’ve got the two lakes,” said Andrew Knies, broker at Brokerworks Real Estate Group. “I think what makes it special is that it’s right here in the heart of town.”

“They already have a homeowner attached to this lot; it’s a family coming from Michigan. This is going to be their second home so they can be closer to their grandkids,” Knies said. “This is the first foundation we've dug. We're able to pull these permits, and we're ready to go, so congratulations to Steiner Homes and their buyer on having the first hole in the ground.”
The second hole in the ground was on Lot 61, owned by Sublime Homes. The wooded lot has the meeting of two creeks in the backyard and already has secured a homeowner.
“Lot 61 was my personal favorite lot. It has a very resort-like background. We'll have a walkout basement here at the back of the house, and it’s gonna look over that beautiful creek. I’m super excited for the Emmert family moving on to Lot 61.”
Close by, Lots 67 and 68 are still developer-controlled, meaning homeowners can buy those lots and pick from a list of preferred builders to design the perfect home for them.
After holding a lottery on the rooftop of Stacks Bar and Grill on December 13, Lot 13 was the most sought-after lot with a large part of the crowd arriving for the chance to pick that lot. Ultimately the homeowner who drew the first pick sold their spot to Sublime Homes for $5,000 and a pick later in the lottery.
“It's a big, 0.8-acre pie-shaped lot on a cul-de-sac and backs up to the woods,” Knies said. “We’ve got the high school, Forest Park Golf Course, and Manchester Meadows right here on the back of this lot. It's absolutely the most stunning lot in the development, and you could still call this home for you.”
Silver Oaks is not the only neighborhood in The Brooks at Vale Park, with The Bluffs & The Upland Prairie also offering scenic locations by the lake. These bluff lots overlook the lake and offer a full walkout basement for easy access to lakeside fun. These properties are built by Diamond Peak Homes and feature several affordable plans for purchasing and building homes.
