In response to an extremely dangerous heat index today through Friday, Portage Township Trustee Brendan Clancy has declared the Bonner Senior Center, located at 5800 Lexington Ave in Portage, an emergency cooling center for all Portage Township residents around the clock until Friday, July 22 at 4 pm.
Please be mindful of all your neighbors, especially the disabled, and our seniors during this dangerous time of extreme heat. Check on them frequently and make sure all are properly hydrated.
