The Boys & Girls Club of Porter County is the spotlight at this month’s Substance Abuse Council Meeting. The Boys & Girls Club offers a safe, drug-free location for youth across Porter County. Dawn Duty, Director of Resource Development, will be sharing with the Council, and the general public, information about the Boys & Girls Club of Porter County’s 40th Anniversary and other programs.
The Porter County Substance Abuse Council will meet at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 13 at the Valparaiso Library, 103 Jefferson Street. Meetings are free and open to the public.
Dedicated to working for a drug-free Porter County, the Substance Abuse Council is a coalition of treatment facilities, education providers, members of the justice community and concerned citizens. A member of the Governor’s Commission for a Drug Free Indiana, the Council has been providing funding to community resources for over fifteen years.
