Michelle Benson from the Porter County Soil & Water Conservation District came to visit Crisman Elementary School. The first grade students were presented with the “S” is for Seeds (Fall Program). This is a great end of the summer program to show children how to find seeds that stick and sail and settle in new places as snacks for squirrels. The kindergarten students learned about the Lot of Leaves (Fall Program). The kindergarteners used their senses as they took a nature hike around the school learning about the leaves. All of the students received a magnifying glass so they can continue to explore nature close up.
