Congressman Visclosky Announces Nearly $1.5 Million to NorthShore Health Centers

NorthShoreCongressman Pete Visclosky announced today that Portage-based NorthShore Health Centers will receive $1,498,801.00 in continuation funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

This federal funding will allow NorthShore to continue providing affordable primary care to their patients, including medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services, regardless of patients’ level of health insurance coverage.

“NorthShore Health Centers has dramatically improved the quality of life for families throughout Northwest Indiana. I offer my congratulations to Jan Wilson and the NorthShore staff for their due diligence in securing this funding so that those in our communities can continue to be served,” said Congressman Visclosky.

“NorthShore is pleased to be receiving this $1.5 million grant to further assist in the health care needs of the patients it serves in both Lake and Porter counties.
