Community Grant Awarded to Portage Nonprofits

New-Vistas-Portage-Food-Pantry-2013The Porter County Community Foundation recently awarded a Community Fund grant to Neighbors’ Educational Opportunities and Portage Township Food Pantry for mobile storage for the food pantry in support of the organizations’ Healthy Partnership Program. This collaborative effort will enable the Food Pantry and New Vistas High School to coordinate their respective programs in the gymnasium space at the Portage Adult Education Center and expand opportunities for students to learn and volunteer.

Last year, the Foundation was able to provide more than $1.8 million in grants, investing in critical services for individuals and families throughout Porter County. The Foundation inspires giving and engages our community to improve lives in Porter County now and forever.
