It's time for another #EmployeeSpotlight! Meet our fearless leader, Mike Wargo! Mike is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Hospice Foundation. He has been involved with Center for Hospice Care for an incredible 23 years! He has specifically been with the Hospice Foundation since it was founded in 2007, initially as the volunteer board chair and then beginning in 2008 as the COO.
What do you do at The Hospice Foundation?
"I have one of the best jobs in the world! I get to spend time with community leaders to raise money for a great cause, work with an incredible, creative team to develop our hospice campuses, educate our various communities about end-of-life care, and collaborate with the international palliative care community to enhance access to palliative care worldwide. Every day brings a new challenge to keep me grounded and focused.
What do you love about the Hospice Foundation?
"Our work inevitably has the potential to improve the quality of living for everyone in the communities we serve. It’s personally rewarding to know that what we’re doing can have such a positive impact on so many, particularly when doing it alongside a group of dedicated professionals who share my passion."
