Cheky Named Conference Co-MVP as Indians Baseball Sends 3 to All-DAC Team

The Portage High School baseball team sent three players to the 2011 Duneland All Conference baseball teams with Tony Cheky, Gabe Acevedo, and Zach Thorn.

Checky, who also was honored as Conference Co-MVP along with Connor Podkul of LaPorte and Jerrick Suiter of Valparaiso, was selected as an outfielder as his teammates Gabe Acevedo and Zach Thorn were nominated as a third baseman and utility player, respectively. The 10-4 Indians finished in second in the conference this season.
