Next week, the Duneland Chamber of Commerce will be holding its monthly luncheon at the traditional time and on the traditional day – 11:30 am on Wednesday, November 27, the fourth Wednesday of the month – but that’s where the business-as-usual format of this recurring networking event will end.
“Instead of a keynote presentation,” says Heather Ennis, the Chamber’s executive director, “we’re going to enjoy a special preview of what our local retailers will have on the shelves this season. This time of year, it’s great to be reminded that there are some seriously amazing gifts that you don’t have to drive to another county to buy. Plus, Leroy’s “Hotstuff” is bringing a taco bar, which is reason enough to sign up.”
The Westchester Library Service Center (located at 100 W. Indiana Ave. in Chesterton) will host the Chamber’s luncheon/shopping extravaganza. The event is open to the public, and representatives from sponsor Lakeside Wealth Management Group will be providing a warm welcome to attendees. Registration begins at 11:30 am, with the taco bar opening at Noon.
Guests will be able to browse the holiday collections of participating retailers, who will be staffing booths in the event’s holiday shopping area. Tickets to the luncheon may be purchased by calling the Chamber at 219.926.5513, emailing email@example.com, or visiting www.dunelandchamber.org. Lunches are $12 per person for Chamber members and $16 each for community members.
