Last week, 3rd Grade students at Central Elementary in Portage celebrated reaching their AR benchmarks with an activity on Indiana's 3 regions (the Great Lakes region, the central till plains region, and the southern hills and lowland region).
Each student made the shape of Indiana using a graham cracker while adding different colors and shapes to represent the different regions characteristics.
