Central Elementary School in Portage got outside to enjoy the warm weather! Mrs. Cruz's 2nd grade class took their reading lesson outside. Central's reading garden has been made possible by the hard work and dedication of Central's head custodian, Mary Sawochka, and her team. Ms. Mary has written and received a grant from Lowe's, and the garden includes picnic tables, umbrellas, benches, fountains and a gazebo. In the spring, Central students also look forward to the mallard ducks that hatch and remind us all spring is here!
