MERRILLVILLE, Ind. – The Greater Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association presented Centier Bank with a Mission Sponsor plaque for its contribution of a $1,500 donation that was made for the 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Erin Stojic, Walk to End Alzheimer’s Manager presented the award Feb. 19, 2020 to Anthony Contrucci, Vice President of Business Development at Centier Bank. Stojic said the sponsorship helped the organization provide free care for friends and neighbors living with Alzheimer’s, as well as support for caregivers.
“We are truly thankful to Centier Bank for their generous donation to our 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” Stojic explained. “Their donation helped make the event a huge success, and as a result, we are able to provide care and support at no cost to the community or those dealing with Alzheimer’s Disease.”
Contrucci said 110,000 Hoosiers are living with Alzheimer’s Disease, and the Greater Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association provides services in 73 Indiana counties.
“There are 338,000 unpaid Alzheimer’s caregivers in the state, currently, and we at Centier are honored to know that we made an impact by our sponsorship of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” Contrucci explained. “Our hope is that by raising awareness and supporting events that make such a difference in the lives of those living with Alzheimer’s, more people will want to get involved.”
