Celebrate ‘Da Region at 219 Day

Celebrate ‘Da Region at 219 Day

Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the 219 Day Committee invite all Region residents over 21 years of age to join us for the fun, weird, and wacky event that celebrates everything Region, 219 Day. 219 Day returns to the Hammond Civic Center on Saturday, February 18th from 6:00 to 11:00 pm.  There will be Glow-in-the-Dark Axe Throwing, 9 Square Volleyball, temporary tattoos, selfie booth, a piñata and more.  The event is free.

This year’s live entertainment features The Disco Circus, Chicago-based disco/funk tribute band and DJ Dalé. Various Region craft and domestic beers will be available for your enjoyment. Manic Meadery returns this year and will be serving the Region’s favorite meads. Food vendors exclusive to the Region will be on hand as well.

T-shirts and hoodies will be available at 219day.com and at the event while supplies last.

When you get there, be sure to sign our “You Know You’re From ‘da Region If…..” boards posted around the Civic Center.

Corporate sponsorships are still available.
