Cavanaugh Nondorf/ Cavanaugh and Nondorf Orthodontics offers high quality of care

Orthodontic care often involves more than just straightening teeth, and the experts at Cavanaugh and Nondorf Orthodontics aim to serve all their patients’ needs.

Cavanaugh and Nondorf Orthodontics specializes in diagnosing and correcting crooked and misplaced teeth while improving the appearance of the mouth and face and the function of the jaws. Braces are no longer just for adolescents but for anyone who wants to improve their smile at any age. They genuinely want their patients to “live life smiling.”

Dr. Rob Cavanaugh and Dr. Matt Nondorf have helped thousands of patients achieve the beautiful smile they desire by providing high-quality care. The doctors have surrounded themselves with a team that prides itself on providing excellent orthodontic treatment in a professional, personalized, and friendly environment. That professional care has led to positive long-term relationships with their patients.

Natalie Thorgren, along with her two sons, are all patients or past patients of Cavanaugh and Nondorf Orthodontics. Thorgren applauded the business for the open communication and being on time for appointments.

“My kids were middle school age boys when they started going there, and they always loved whenever the hygienist was funny or nice,” Thorgren said.

She also appreciates that whenever there was a problem with the braces, such as a broken bracket, the office staff would ensure they could see the orthodontist as soon as possible, many times on the same day.

“It’s kind of why their on-time service is impressive. They are super accommodating, and they never make you feel like you are putting them out,” Thorgren said.

Thorgren previously suffered from jaw pain and became an adult patient of Cavanaugh and Nondorf. The staff asked her several questions and decided to start with the least invasive treatment, which worked.

“They were super easy to work with, and they never make you feel like you are doing the wrong thing or that you should be afraid to ask a question,” Thorgren said.

Although the boys no longer have braces, their retainers are checked periodically.

“They are thrilled with their teeth,” Thorgren said.

Cavanaugh and Nondorf are American Board of Orthodontics certified. They develop customized plans that focus on patients’ needs and work with special situations. They do not use a one size fits all treatment plan - each plan, just like the patient, is different.

Amanda Zelechoski is a previous patient of Cavanaugh and Nondorf Orthodontics, and two of her three children are currently patients.

“They were incredibly flexible and patient with me, so I knew they would be great with my kids,” Zelechoski said.

Zelechoski visited Cavanaugh and Nondorf Orthodontics a few times before taking the leap and getting braces as an adult.

“I found them to be very accommodating in that regard,” Zelechoski said. “I would always have to reschedule things, and that was never an issue. They were really flexible.”

The staff went the extra mile for Zelechoski’s kids when their appointment for the braces was the week before the Popcorn Festival. Once the braces were on, the boys were advised not to eat popcorn.

“Both of my boys looked at me, and their faces fell. The hygienist said, why don’t we do it the week after and told them to go crazy,” Zelechoski said. “That made their day.”

As the orthodontic industry grows and advances through technological advances and demand, Cavanaugh and Nondorf Orthodontics meet those challenges. Services include traditional, customized, self-ligating, and lingual braces; Invisalign and Invisalign Teen; Planmeca 3-D imaging; iTero digital scanning; and TMJ, TMD, and sleep apnea solutions. Other services include Diode Laser Treatment, palatal expanders, mouthguards, and surgical orthodontics.

Cavanaugh and Nondorf Orthodontics also provide patients with expert orthodontic care without breaking the bank.

Each personalized plan varies in costs based on the patient’s needs. The total treatment fees include all orthodontic appliances and treatment visits, retainers, and two years of post-treatment care. The company offers numerous payment options, and payment plans are available. Some team members specialize in orthodontic insurance coverage and will submit claims on behalf of the patient.

“They were really transparent,” Zelechoski said. “What I liked about the prices was whatever they quoted you at the beginning that was the cost, and it was all wrapped up in the service. It doesn’t feel like we faced any hidden charges or surprise fees down the road.”

Debra Key, the mom of Nicki Key and Anthony Key, began working with Cavanaugh and Nondorf Orthodontics when Nicki Key needed some orthodontics work. She saw an ad for Cavanaugh and Nondorf Orthodontics in a church bulletin and decided to contact them. Debra Key met with them shortly after and had a smooth consultation with them and Nicki Key.

“Working with them has been completely hassle-free. I wish other businesses that I deal with were as hassle-free,” Debra Key said. “They’re rated a 10 out of 10 for me.”

Anthony Key received his braces the same day as his consultation. He was grateful for the care he received when something went wrong with his braces.

“They took care of me,” Anthony Key said. “The two doctors were a pleasure to deal with, and the staff there is unbelievable. They are the nicest group of staff of a business that I have ever dealt with.”

When Anthony Key was a patient, his mouth was a bit of a challenge. Two of his teeth had to be moved out of the way for a receded tooth to grow through.

“While they were doing my teeth, it was during the time that I was on American Idol last season. That was the first time I was on camera with really good teeth,” Anthony Key said. “It’s thanks to them that I have that Hollywood smile.”
