Café Tips Support PCACS

Cafe-tipsThe tip jar at Campbell Street Café will be filled for Porter County Aging and Community Services in May. The café’s tradition to support area not-for-profits continues throughout the month. The café, owned and operated by Pines Village Retirement Communities, will donate the jar’s contents to PCACS.

Amy Page, director of public relations at Pines Retirement Village Communities, said as a not-for-profit, Pines Village permits café employees to accept tips on behalf of charitable organizations.

pcacs“This is our way of supporting organizations that have an impact on the lives of older adults, which is always part of our mission,” she said.

PCACS Executive Director Bruce Lindner said the tip tradition is an indication of a strong not-for-profit community.

“As community partners seeking to impact residents’ lives, it is so important for us to continue to support each other and the tip collection is a wonderful example of how we can work together,” Lindner said. “We appreciate the ongoing support both of the café and its patrons as it can add up dollar by dollar.”

To support PCACS through tips in May, enjoy breakfast, lunch or a snack at the Campbell Street Café from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
