First graders at Myers Elementary have been very busy learning about Martin Luther King Jr., arctic animals, problem solving and story elements. Students have using the new information they've learned to write informative papers on their different topics.
Students from Portage High School came in to teach our K - 2 classes how to take care of their teeth. But it's not all work and no play for these kiddos! The first graders from Myers Elementary and a few other Portage first grade classes got to enjoy a play centered around using math in their everyday life. Also, they enjoyed their class Valentine parties.
Students got to play several games, eat ice cream sundaes and share some kindness with there classmates. The wonderful Myers parents came and helped with classroom activities.
