Boys’ varsity CC placed 9th at the New Prairie Invite on Saturday and 4th in the freshman/sophomore division. Great performances by Anthony Best, Tylor Hudson, David Clegg, Jacob Thielbar, Lucas Sullivan, Jacob Galvan and Colin Chenoweth.
The girls’ cross country team placed 9th out of 31 teams at the New Praire Invite on Saturday. Kyra Ball led the team with a 15th place finish. The rest of the Indians top five were Paige Pizer, Rhyan Sloan, Mariah Blackwell, and Erin Reynolds. In the JV race Portage was led by Salina McConnell in 11th and Delaney Barcelli in 16th.
The boys’ tennis team placed 2nd at the Merrillville Invite.
Varsity football lost to Crown Point 42-7.
