The Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County will host Purdue University’s Robbie Hummel of the Purdue Boilermaker Basketball team at this year’s 11th Annual Steak & Burger Dinner on September 30 at the Porter County Expo Center. Silent auction and registration begin at 5:15 p.m. and the main program will begin promptly at 6 p.m. running until 8 p.m. 
Steak & Burger Dinner is an annual fundraising event specially designed to bring caring adult community members and Boys & Girls Club members together for a fun filled evening. Each table is shared by adults and members to offer the unique opportunity for both to share stories and a meal together. This dinner is unique because the guests of honor, youth from the Boys & Girls Clubs in Valparaiso, Portage, Duneland and South Haven plus the Kidstop before and after school program, are served steaks and everyone else eats burgers!
Each Club member who attends has been selected because of his or her positive attitude, outstanding service and are the best representatives of the Boys & Girls Clubs mission. Our objective is to help these Club members realize the diverse opportunities available in Porter County as well as provide a direct connection to the youth of our community.
