Tomich will speak briefly at 5pm to kick the event off at NIPSCO headquarters in Merrillville, Ind. Horseshoe Casino will be providing hors d’oeuvres and Calumet Breweries will provide beverages.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana is a nonprofit organization devoted to educational, recreational and enrichment activities after school and during the summer for children ages 6 to 18. With over 12,000 such youth in Northwest Indiana, the Clubs work hard to help the youth learn, stay off the streets and develop life skills they might otherwise miss out on.

Training for Great Futures is a great opportunity for community and business leaders from throughout the area to come together and help support the youth of the area. Tomich will stay after speaking to meet with attendees and sign autographs. Proceeds from the events go to Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana to help bolster their programs and support the thousands of youth the organization helps every day.

Training for Great Futures will continue September 27, 2012, with the Kick-off event to be held at Schepel Cadillac, also in Merrillville. The final event in the series will be January 28, 2013, one week before the Super Bowl.
