Bohemian Highway SSO Concert on Saturday, June 5

South Shore Orchestra invites you to a new musical adventure on the BOHEMIAN HIGHWAY! bohemhighwyposter

Join South Shore Orchestra and Music Director Troy Webdell for their upcoming concert, BOHEMIAN HIGHWAY, on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Liberty Bible Church. Featured music will include Dvorak's Symphony No. 8, selections from the opera Carmen as sung by guest mezzo soprano Sandra Maytan, and Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix with guest guitarist Jon Costas, Mayor of Valparaiso.

This past January, South Shore Orchestra was invited by the Confucius Institute to perform a seven concert New Year's tour throughout China including a performance in the renowned Beijing Concert Hall. They were warmly received and greatly applauded at each venue--most with audiences over 1000.

This unique musical community is made up of professionally trained musicians that work in a variety of different careers--from business to medical to education. sandra They are truly multi-generational with ages ranging from 13-70. SSO, in its 6th year provides the opportunity to engage their love for music and perform several times a year. You will certainly be entertained by this extraordinary group especially with these intriguing musical offerings.
