Blue Chip Casino’s Bride Blu Brought Out Only the Best for the Region’s Brides

Ah, Bride Blu… A posh playground for bridal parties. Bride Blu is one of the most anticipated events of the year, and the brides (and grooms) of the region always wait with baited breath to see what the Blue Chip Casino has in store.

“This is an opportunity for brides in the region to come and see all that Northwest Indiana has to offer for anything related to having a wedding,” Angela Gaghan, Director of Sales for the Blue Chip Casino said. “We have many great businesses here today and it’s very convenient for brides to meet with multiple vendors in one place. Something else that sets this event apart from other bridal shows is that we have multiple areas opened up for our guests to see so not only do they get to be in the main vendor area, but they can see what our rooms will look like in other areas if they were to have their wedding with us.”

Something that makes Bride Blu special is the planning aspect that is built in for brides. When registering, attendees have the option of scheduling one-on-one meetings with different vendors.

This means that waiting in line to maybe speak with a business can be avoided, and goals that brides have can be met, reducing the inevitable hassle that comes with planning a wedding. Brides were able to schedule appointments to meet with florists, DJs, hair and makeup artists, caterers, and more.

“I came here to get in touch with a few more vendors before I get married in October,” Ashley Hawkins, bride-to-be said. “Planning has been pretty easy so far and this event will help to wrap things up.”

There were over 50 vendors who came to Bride Blu. They set up shop in the Stardust Event Center’s grand space, artfully displaying their wares and amicably answering all of the guests’ questions and queries. Over 500 brides traversed through the event, exploring their options and finding new ideas for their upcoming nuptials.

“We came to Bride Blu to let the world know who we are,” Mario Herron, Event Rental Manager for Taltree Arboretum and Gardens said. “Not many people know about all that we can do here and this is our first time to Bride Blu. It’s very classy and that sets the tone because this is important to many brides who want to make their day special and we’re glad to be part of it.”

“We are here to market our Center for weddings and special events,” Amy Davis-Navardauskas, Marketing Director for the Lubeznik Center for the Arts said. “We can do everything from the bridal shower to the ceremony to the reception… We’re an elegant and unique place to hold an event and not many people know that yet.”

There was a fashion show that caught the eye of every bridal party. The models who floated on the catwalk were wearing the latest bridal fashions. Gowns of all shapes, colors and lengths made up of lace, chiffon, tulle, taffeta, and other gorgeous fabrics graced the runway. Brides-to-be murmured in appreciation as some got ideas for what dress they wanted. Brides maids and mother-of-the-bride dresses were shown off, too, as they are also integral parts of a bride’s big day.

Bride Blu did the trick and connected many brides with many businesses. The Blue Chip Casino once again hosted an event that was second to none and next year’s brides will look forward to Bride Blu 2017.
