Better Business Bureau Serving Northern Indiana, is inviting its Accredited Businesses to tell their stories to showcase how they have persevered during 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic while supporting their employees and communities.
“BBB wanted a way to recognize all of the amazing businesses that have gone above and beyond during these trying times,” said Marjorie Stephens, President and CEO of BBB Serving Northern Indiana. “This project is not only a way to shine the spotlight on those BBB Accredited Businesses, but also an opportunity to show the power of trust in our community.”
Who: All Accredited Businesses in BBB’s 23-county service area (Adams, Allen, Blackford, Cass, Dekalb, Elkhart, Fulton, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Lake, LaPorte, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Porter, Steuben, St. Joseph, Wabash, Wells, Whitley).
What: To recognize the perseverance, strength and optimism Accredited Businesses have, despite the challenges of 2020, and those still to come. BBB would like to showcase their stories of resilience, triumph and perseverance.
Where: Business stories will be compiled into a video and posted on BBB’s website and on social media channels, as well as highlighted separately on BBB’s social media channels.
How to participate: Accredited businesses are asked to create a video that is approximately 1-2 minutes long (shorter is fine) that tells about their business, its tenacity and the ability to pivot and overcome adversity while navigating the “rough waters” brought on by COVID-19.
The topics of submission can be about (but are not limited to):
- Helping the community
- Supporting employees and/or families
- Service to customers
- Creating innovative ideas
- Retooling current business practices
Deadline: Submissions will be accepted through Feb. 10. Videos will be showcased on BBB’s social media channels and on the website beginning in February.
Why: BBB Serving Northern Indiana wants to recognize all of the amazing businesses that have gone “above and beyond” during these trying times.
Consumers increasingly insist on doing business with companies that communicate their values and what they believe in. This is an opportunity for BBB Accredited Businesses to convey a bigger purpose and be recognized for going the extra mile for their employees, customers and community.
