BBB Serving Northern Indiana Announces 2021 Students of Integrity Scholars

Five students honored with scholarships for commitment to integrity, ethics.

Morgan Meyer

Morgan Meyer is the 2021 Charly Butcher Scholarship Student of Integrity. The Charly Butcher Scholarship is awarded to outstanding high school seniors pursuing a degree is communications or education. Meyers graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School and will be a freshman at Ball State University studying education. She was a member of the color guard, volunteered at Queen of Angels Catholic School and the Saint Vincent DePaul Thrift Store, and taught students in her Sunday School.

Blake Gilbert

Blake Gilbert is the Brotherhood Mutual 2021 Student of Integrity, awarded to a high school or college student attending a private, Christian college in Indiana. Gilbert graduated from South Adams High School and will be a freshman at Taylor University. He is a pen pal to two Swiss Village Retirement Home residents, He also worked as a Camp Aid at Miracle Camp, is head Manager for the varsity basketball team and helped raise funds for Dots in Blue Water.

Seth Parsell

Seth Parsell is the 2021 PNC National Bank University Student of Integrity. Parsell is currently a student at Huntington University studying Finance/Economics and Management. In addition to receiving the 2021 University Student of Integrity scholarship, Parsell is a leading representative and an executive board member of the Student Government Association and volunteers for Heritage Point of Huntington along with a variety of other community service activities.

Daniela Gavilanez 

Daniela Gavilanez is the 2021 Accredited Business Student of Integrity. Gavilanez graduated from Norwell High School. She is an Advisory Board member for the Youth as Resources, a varsity player on the Nowell Girls Soccer team and led soccer lessons for five young children. She was nominated by BBB Accredited Charity The Literacy Alliance in Fort Wayne.

Grant Kauffman

Grant Kauffman is the 2021 BBB Student of Integrity sponsored by BBB Charitable and Educational Foundation. Kauffman graduated from Bremen Public High School and has lectured for his high school history classes, was student representative on the School Improvement Committee and served as a D.A.R.E representative for Bremen Elementary.

Students of Integrity scholarships would not be possible without our 2021 sponsors, which includes Charly Butcher Scholarship Fund, Inc., PNC National Bank and Brotherhood Mutual. They have generously partnered with BBB’s Charitable and Educational Foundation to reward ethics and integrity in young adults. The mission of the Charitable and Educational Foundation is to advance reliable, dependable and ethical interaction between the marketplace and the public. To date, BBB Serving Northern Indiana and its partners have awarded more than $125,000.

The BBB plans to celebrate each scholarship individual at a private reception for students, families, sponsors and school representatives on May 25 at the Junior Achievement Center in Fort Wayne.
