5th Grade Reading Fair
Our fifth grade students just completed the Second Annual Reading Fair. Students read a chapter book in their reading level. They then presented their book using a tri-fold board. The students used their creativity and came up with some AWESOME boards! Some of the elements required on their board were title, author, character traits, genre, and problem/solution. The students then presented their boards to the other grades in our school cafeteria. The students had a great time showing off their hard work!
4th and 5th Grade Might Acorns
Our 4th and 5th grade students just completed the fall portion of our Mighty Acorns program. 4th grade students learned about the different structures of a flower and parts of a seed. 5th grade students learned about different ecosystems. Both grades then went on a field trip to Imagination Glen to explore these different ecosystems and see different physical adaptions. Both grades will head back to Imagination Glen for the winter portion of the Mighty Acorns program.
