The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting area residents to the Memory Walk Porter County Kickoff Party for the 2010 Memory Walk. The Kickoff will take place on August 10 at the Horizon Bank, 902 Lincolnway in Valparaiso, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Porter County Kickoff is the third of a series of four Kickoff’s planned for Northwest Indiana. Kickoffs were held in Lake County, including Munster in June and Merrillville in July. The LaPorte County Kickoff is scheduled for August 17. 
Please join us to socialize with others as well as get great information. Representatives will be on hand to explain Memory Walk and how you can get involved. Help will be available to register your team. Join us for a Fundraising Fair for fundraising tips and ideas. Plus, chat with successful team captains and learn tips on how to make your team successful.

Together we can bring help and hope to millions of Americans living with this disease – and millions more at risk. “There has never been a greater need for northwest Indiana citizens to join in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease by participating in Memory Walk,” said Louise Thompson, an Alzheimer’s Association spokesperson. “This kickoff is a fun way to get information and learn how fun and easy it is to raise funds to find a cure.”
