Allegius Credit Union is pleased to announce the hiring of Toni Downing as Vice President/Chief Financial Officer.
Downing brings with her over 25 years of accounting experience. She has worked in the government sector and has experience in banking and commercial real estate. Downing holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Indiana University Northwest.
Downing comes to Allegius following eight years of public service as Porter County’s Chief Deputy Auditor. Appointed by former County Auditor, Vicki Urbanik, the duo was widely recognized by leaders of both political parties for the high quality work produced from within the department and for restoring professionalism to the county’s top fiscal office. Downing was instrumental in maintaining the county’s capital asset program, working on the county’s GAAP financial team, and ensuring compliance with state accounting and auditing procedures.
Ms. Downing currently serves on the Board of the Porter County Parks and Recreation Department.
