All Is Calm Event Welcomes Special Guests on December 12

A special day for children with autism and special needs

Santa has announced he will make a special trip to the Indiana Welcome Center on Tuesday, December 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for children with autism or special needs. The Indiana Welcome Center will be sensory-friendly and accessible for all. Santa will be positioned off of “Santa’s Mountain” to easily accommodate both children and adults.

Families and children are invited to write letters to Santa, make crafts, walk along the decorated Christmas trees and enjoy the exhibit, A Christmas Story Comes Home.

“The South Shore CVA is excited to announce the return of ‘All is Calm,’ an event specifically curated for individuals with autism and special needs. We understand visiting during a busy weekend can be overwhelming and this day allows us to make some adjustments to the exhibit that makes everyone who visits on this day feel more at ease and welcome,” said David Uran, President/CEO.

For more information about the exhibit, A Christmas Story Comes Home, inspired by Warner Bros.’  classic holiday film visit www.AChristmasStoryComesHome.com or call 219-989-7979. The Indiana Welcome Center is located at 7770 Corinne Drive in Hammond, Ind.
