Advanced Dental Concepts (ADC) is one of the best known and highest rated dentists in Crown Point. They have been recognized with awards like The Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite, The Dental Insider Best of Crown Point for Patient Satisfaction, and The Neighbors' Choice Award which they won 3 years in a row.

The Crown Point office has 3 dentists, Dr. Danny Hayes, Dr. Christine Mousa, and Dr. Lauren Hansen, all of whom have received nothing but praise from clients. 

ADC is a complete dental care practice that offers preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, periodontal therapy, TMJ/TMD therapy, sedation dentistry, emergency dentistry, and Invisalign clear braces. Their friendly staff and experienced doctors will do everything they can to give you the best care available at their state-of-the-art office. 

Faith Wilner moved to Northwest Indiana from Wisconsin not too long ago and was recommended to see Dr. Hayes when her front teeth wouldn’t stop hurting. When she was younger, Wilner fell off a bike which resulted in major damage to her front teeth. Since then she has had nothing but issues, but ADC took care of her and she’s pain-free for the first time in years.  

“It’s traumatizing when you’re told that you have to have all of your front teeth replaced, no one wants to be told that,” Wilner said. “They were so nice about it and Danny Hayes was just excellent in providing comfort because it can be scary. He was so understanding and worked with me.”

A little while later, Wilner found out she had to have a full bridge of 6 teeth put in, but she wasn’t even worried. This time she worked with Dr. Hansen, and the assistants made sure to take care of her and ensured she knew what was going on. 

“During the whole process, nothing hurt, it was done very quickly and timely. I even had to have my temporaries replaced because they came out and Sally (Expanded Functions Dental Assistant) came in during the weekend,” Wilner said. “I’ve never run into a problem here, I’ve always had such a wonderful experience and could not have asked for a better staff.”

The staff always greets you with a smile and treats you like a part of the family. Someone will always be there to make sure you are getting the best quality care available. Wilner has nothing but good things to say about the doctors and staff. 

“You’re not just another customer. They call me by name here and are always so welcoming,” Wilner said. “After my procedure, they gave me a card and followed up with me constantly to make sure I’m still experiencing the same amount of quality with my teeth, which I really appreciated.”

Wilner has had no issues since her journey began with ADC back in March and has a great smile to back it up. She recommends ADC to any and everyone looking for a dentist. 

“Hands down I would say this is a place you want to go for their customer service and for their work,” Wilner said. “The quality of work backs up their whole business. It’s your teeth so you want to go somewhere that takes care of you.”

John Hopkins, an insurance broker, has been a client of ADC since they first opened 15 years ago and was more than happy to talk about his experiences. As a young man, Hopkins didn’t care for his teeth like he wished he would have and grew to regret it when he got older. Dr. Hayes replaced all of Hopkins’ top teeth and made him a new man. 

“You know when you meet someone, and you instantly like them? That’s how it was with Danny,” Hopkins said. “He had a good touch and my teeth were in bad shape, so when he started working on me it was not a small project. All of my tops are fake, but you wouldn’t know it, he does supreme work.”

As a man in insurance, Hopkins must be in front of people most of the time and the first thing people notice is your teeth. He knew something had to be done. 

“I would tell you that I trust him emphatically,” Hopkins said. “And a quote I would share is ‘people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care’ and that’s what I see with Danny and his whole staff.” 

Hopkins and Dr. Hayes have become good friends over the years and even go fishing together on occasion. Hopkins notes the doctor to patient relationship as one of the best parts of ADC. 2 years ago, Hopkins called in after he accidentally dropped his partials and broke them in two. Dr. Hayes was ready with new, reinforced partials, plus an extra set for him, within 3 hours. 

“It’s a good thing that you have a friend like that in your dentist,” Hopkins said. “A doctor that will take your calls and make it happen— if you were to call after hours, you’re getting his home phone.”

Hopkins recommends a lot of his own clients to ADC and even says he’ll pay for the visit if his client doesn’t like them. 

“I haven’t had to pay a penny yet,” Hopkins said. 

It’s all about good business and ADC knows how to do it. Much of their practice comes from word of mouth, people recommending people because that’s just how good they are. There are over 1500 dentists in all of Northwest Indiana, according to Hopkins, and ADC knows how to keep their clients and take in new ones by caring about what they do and who they do it with.
