Saylor 4th Graders Go on Mighty Acorns Field Trip
Saylor 4th grade students went on a Mighty Acorns field trip last Friday. Students were in a free exploration group where they had the opportunity to find different kinds of seeds. In addition, they were given bug boxes to get a closer look at the bugs around them. Our students had a wonderful time exploring!
Students Rewarded for Reading with Theater Thursday
Sally Detterline's 4th grade class using every minute wisely reading, so they can go to Theater Thursday. Students who meet their point and comprehension goal in AR get to attend Theater Thursday, where they watch a movie and eat popcorn with their friends!
Jones Students Celebrate Grandparents Day
Jones Elementary had a big day celebrating Grandparents' Day last week. Grandparents spent the morning meeting teachers, touring the school, looking at art work, and posing with their favorite Jones' students.
Myers 3rd Graders Rewarded for Good Behavior
Third grade students at Myers Elementary gathered for a ticket drawing. Students earn tickets for good behavior, participation in class and being overall great kids. Tickets from all three classes are combined bi-weekly for one large drawing with all of the third graders.

U.S. Veterans and U.S. Military Honored by Central
Elementary students saluted Veterans as they entered the program, sang heart-warming songs, and displayed patriotism and respect to them to show gratitude for their faithful service to our country. The honorees introduced themselves, shared what branch of Military they served or are serving, and acknowledged the students who invited them. Central students want all members of the U.S. Military to know we appreciate their dedication in keeping the Red, White, and Blue proudly flying.
Aylesworth Students Watch "Inside Out"
First graders at Aylesworth Elementary had their Theater Thursday this week. Students who reached their AR goal for trimester one got to watch Inside Out. We had so many reach their goal and show grit during this trimester. Way to go!
