2014 Portage Christmas Celebration & Toy Drive

2014 Portage Christmas CelebrationPortage Kiwanis Club's Annual Toys For Tots Drive and Chili Luncheon are scheduled on Saturday, December 6th at Aylesworth Elementary School from 11a-3p. In conjunction with the City of Portage's Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony, this is one family-fun day you won't want to miss!

Portage Kiwanis Club has planned another great afternoon of fun for the whole family. There will be a Chili Luncheon complete with all the fixings (chili, chili dogs, loaded baked potatoes, chips, dessert and warm beverages). It's a $1 ala-carte buffet.

A large Christmas train exhibit, Christmas Carols, Free Photo with Mr. & Mrs. Claus, and children's crafts add to the fun! Don't forget to bring a toy for the toy drive!

The U.S. Marine Corp. Leatherneck Detachment will be on hand collecting new, unwrapped toys or monetary donations for this year's toy distribution. Please remember those less fortunate than you and stretch your budget, purchase a new toy, and drop it off on Saturday during the luncheon.

Come early, fill your bellies, and grab some hot chocolate (with a candy cane!) before heading out to enjoy the Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting ceremony!

The Christmas Parade will start at 3:45p. The Parade route begins at Aylesworth Elementary School and heads south on Willowcreek Road to Frank Gilbert Park for the City's annual Tree-lighting Ceremony where you'll find beautifully lit Christmas Trees, more hot cocoa and Christmas Carols!
