The Pride in Portage Committee would like to encourage anybody filled with the Christmas spirit to please join us in this special event for young and old alike. The parade will take place on December 11th and will commence from Kyle School parking lot to Central, west to City Hall. 
At approximately 6 pm, Mayor Olga Velazquez and Santa Claus will light the city's twin Christmas trees. Afterwards, all the boys and girls will be invited in to visit with Santa and have hot cocoa and cookies provided by Local 3151 Firefighter's Auxiliary, and more Christmas carols.
