Talk to a lawyer for free at Portage Township Trustee, Brendan Clancy’s office, 3484 Airport Road in Portage on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 8 am to 4 pm. It is one of 2 sites in Porter County that is hosting the Indiana State Bar Association and NWI Volunteer Lawyer’s 14th Annual Public Service Event. The other site is at the Valparaiso University Law School, 656 S. Greenwich in Valparaiso that same day from 9 am to 5 pm.
The event is a service to the public as volunteer lawyers will be available at both sites to answer your questions and give brief (10 to 15 minutes) legal consultations. Walk-ins are acceptable as appointments are not necessary.
If you can’t make it to a site that day, there is a statewide call-in to Indianapolis attorneys on that date only also. Calls will be answered from 8 am to 4 pm, CST, in the order they are received. Calls will be in English or Spanish at 1-800-266-2581.
