The Beauty Queen of Leenane
Chicago Street Theatre is bringing the work of Irish playwright and film maker Martin McDonagh back to their stage with The Beauty Queen of Leenane opening January 31. Set in the mountains of County Galway, Ireland, BEAUTY QUEEN tells the darkly comic tale of a lonely woman, Maureen and her manipulative elderly mother, Mag whose meddling could spoil her daughter's first and last chance for a loving relationship.

Cool Ice Sculptures Kick off WinterFest
Rounding out the spectacular winter events at WinterFest, there will be an ice fishing derby taking place February 1st. Prizes will be awarded in various categories. The weigh-in concludes the day at 4 p.m. at the lodge.

Crown Point Community Theatre to Perform Miracles in Their Production of "Godspell"
The stories of John the Baptist, Jesus and Judas will be told musically in Crown Point, when Crown Point Community Theatre performs the perennial favorite musical "Godspell." Using various theatrical traditions, including pantomime, charades, acrobatics and vaudeville, the parables of Jesus as told in the Gospel of St. Matthew are brought to life in a series of well-loved songs, including "God Save the People," "All Good Gifts," and the international anthem, "Day by Day."

MasMedia 7, an independent production company, is proud to announce its production of “Fences,” a play by August Wilson. “Fences” is a story about Troy Maxson, a former baseball player in the Negro Leagues now reduced to collecting trash, who must deal with his headstrong football-player son and his wife, who reevaluates their marriage when Troy comes home with the baby he fathered with another woman.

County Line Orchard will be transformed into a glamorous speakeasy featuring a live band, strolling servers, decadent buffets, and amazing live and silent auction items. Join us for an elegant Prime Rib Dinner on February 1, 2014. The school programs we do can help to stop our kids from one day ending up in Drug Court. Your attendance may help in keeping our youth away from drugs and alcohol.

'Meet the Vikes' Night Set For February 1
In what promises to be a fun evening for the entire family, elementary students will attend the game for free with a paying adult. After the games, they will be given an opportunity to meet the players and get their autographs.

Chicago Street Theatre is thrilled to welcome Grammy-winning artist Jim Peterik back to our stage for a very special, intimate solo acoustic performance! Goodbye," and many more from a career spanning almost 50 years.

The Art Box
Westchester Public Library’s drop-in craft program, The Art Box, will continue each Saturday in February during the hours of 10am-2pm. Bring your imagination and take a peek into the art box to find out the project for the day – and then create it! Once a month, a guest will visit the Art Box and share special talents and ideas with the children.

Greek Chicken & Shish Kabob Fundraiser and Bake Sale
St. Iakovos Church is having a Greek Chicken & Shish Kabob Fundraiser and Bake Sale on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 11:00a.m. -2:00p.m. The cost of the meal is $10 and consists of one of the meats, rice pilaf, Greek salad, and bread.
