Valpo Firefighters Annual Pancake Breakfast
It's that time of year again for the fundraisers to kick back into gear from the winter hiatus and the Valparaiso Firefighters L1124 are once again hosting their Annual Pancake Breakfast.

On Saturday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m., the La Porte Civic Auditorium is the location for a youthful spectacle of song, dance and symphonic pop tunes that are the trademark of the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra. The audience will be taken on an entertaining and energizing journey of youthful glee, fun and games.
Come Together at County Line Orchard
Celebrate good music and support the Hobart YMCA and Housing Opportunities on April 15, 2011 at County Line Orchard. Doors open at 6:30 pm, with a show start of 7:00 pm. Featured bands include Chris & Lou and The Crawpuppies.
PNC Theatre to Stage Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing"
PNC Theatre and the PNC Players of Purdue University North Central will present a production of William Shakespeare's beloved comedy "Much Ado About Nothing" at the Mainstreet Theatre in Michigan City. The public is invited to the performances at the Mainstreet Theatre, 807 Franklin St., on opening night Saturday April 16, at 8 p.m.; Sunday April 17, at 3 p.m.; Friday April 22 at 8 p.m. and Saturday April 23 at 8 p.m.
Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce Sponsors Annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt
The Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16, 2011, from 9:00-11:30 a.m. The event will take place at the Old Courthouse in the Maki Ballroom and on the Courthouse lawn in downtown Crown Point, Indiana. A continental breakfast and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny will be available.
Earth Day 2011
The free event offers a variety of exhibitors, activities for children and families, vendors and entertainment to help Northwest Indiana residents live a ‘greener’ life. This year’s event also will feature the Duneland Family YMCA Healthy Kids Day, offering parents and caregivers some great resources to teach healthful habits to children and inspire physical activity for life.

Bring the whole family to the Valparaiso Family YMCA for Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 16 and help us ACTIVATE AMERICA! Healthy Kids Day is one component of Activate America, a nationwide YMCA initiative to promote health and fitness to all.
Spring Kids Closet
The Porter County chapter of Mothers & More will once again offer the public a chance to buy and sell gently used children's clothing, toys, and gear. The Spring Kids Closet sale will be on Saturday, April 16th from 8 a.m. to noon at the Butterfield Pavilion.
Encaustic Open Studio
Join fellow encaustic painters and collage artists for some open studio time at the Chesterton Art Center on Saturday, April 16 from 10 am until 2 pm. Encaustic painting is the art of painting with beeswax and pigments. Collage artists enjoy working with beeswax because almost anything can be embedded into the hot wax, such as plaster, metal objects, papers, found objects, fibers, and cloth.
Northwest Valpo Clean Up Day
We welcome all residents of the city of Valparaiso to volunteer a bit of your time with us, cleaning up our own neighborhoods. We will be cleaning up Ransom Rd., Froberg Rd., Harrison Blvd., Campbell St. and areas in between. We encourage and welcome the participation of any resident or community group, regardless of where you live.
