Easter-Egg-HuntEach week we will be bringing you 10 fun things to do in Northwest Indiana over the weekend, so you are never without something to do!

Easter Egg Hunt at the Porter County Expo Center
The MOMS Club of Valparaiso is hosting a Community Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 23 at 10:00 am at the Porter County Expo Center at Highway 49 and Division Road in Valparaiso. The event is free and open to all Porter County children ages 0 – 12 years old. The event will feature a bake sale and raffle, as well as free photos with the Easter Bunny and “Super Prize Eggs” included in the hunt.

Easter Fun at Woodland Park
Celebrate Easter with the Portage Kiwanis Club's Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 23, 2011. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8:00 am to 10:00 am in the Oakwood Grand Hall at Woodland Park. Also, take your picture with the Easter Bunny for free!

Celebrate Easter Services at a Local Church
There are many great churches in the Portage area hosting Easter services this Sunday, including First United Methodist, First Presbyterian Church, and Portage Christian Church, among many others. Celebrate the meaning behind the reason for the Easter holiday!

Pikks-Easter-BrunchEaster Brunch at T.J. Maloney's
On Sunday, Apr. 24, hop over to T.J. Maloney's Authentic Irish Pub for a decadent brunch, complete with carving stations, made-to-order omelets & “sweet endings” like our Warm Irish Pudding.

Participants will learn outdoor photography techniques from professional and experienced amateur club members. The workshop is appropriate for beginner and intermediate levels ages 16 and up.

The community is invited to attend an Early Childhood Parenting class as part of Valparaiso Mayor Jon Costas’ Substance Abuse Prevention Initiative. The 6-week class will be held at the Valparaiso YMCA on Saturdays, beginning April 23.
