The Footlight Players of Michigan City will open their 69th season of shows this August with THE WIZARD OF OZ. Director Laura Meyer with the help of her husband Lee as her Musical/Vocal Director, and Emma Blanchard as her Assistant has cast an amazing group of 38 talented actors and actresses to bring this family musical to life.
August 10 - 12: Gutenberg! The Musical! - Valparaiso, IN
Chesterton grads are here to produce The Art Barn School of Art’s first musical: Gutenberg! Proudly presented by Ensemble Theatre Company, the musical by Anthony King and Scott Brown, is directed by and stars Zachary Gipson and Dustin Ritchea with Rachael Lauer on piano.
August 11: 2nd Annual Salvation Army 5K - Michigan City, IN
The Salvation Army of Michigan City is gearing up for its second annual 5K, an exciting summer fundraiser supporting the programs and services offered by The Salvation Army here in Michigan City.
August 11: Last Call for Summer - Highland, IN
The event offers original music, food from Highland restaurants and a beer garden, operated by 95ate5 Brew Pub. Breweries to be featured include: Byway Brewing, Devil’s Trumpet Brewing, 18th Street Brewery, Revolution Brewing and Greenbush Brewing.
August 11: Charity Softball Tournament to benefit Portage Township Parks - Valparaiso, IN
Friends of Portage Township Foundation, Inc. is hosting the 1st Annual Charity Softball Tournament on Saturday, August 11th at Haven Hollow Park (330 W. 700 N. Valparaiso IN 46385) beginning at 9a. Proceeds will benefit the continued development of Portage Township Department of Parks and Recreation.

It’s fast, furious, free to watch and returning to Whiting, Indiana this August! This P1 Whiting Grand Prix of the Sea will again deliver two days of jet ski racing action as the P1 AquaX USA championships make waves on Lake Michigan.
